So, another terrible, horrible, no good, very bad bay week in the world of geopolitics… Once again, the divide between world-views is starkly illustrated in the acts of a few religious zealots. In a world where it is a stated objective of some to martyr themselves for their faith, a General George Patton, Jr. quote comes to my mind: “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other guy die for his.” So, if anyone out there feels compelled to offer yourself up for whatever misguided reasons while taking a large number of innocent people with you, just say so and I’m sure you can be moved to the front of the line for the “Patton Method.” I’m just say’n.
