Wrong idea now. Sometimes I get frustrated at the graying of the line between American Exceptionalism and Extremism. If America has been truly and uniquely blessed by God, as I believe it has, then our role, as ordained by Him, is to serve as an alternative model to fundamentalism of every stripe. In a multi-polar world that is becoming more and more divided between fundamentalism and pluralistic democracies, our role is to lead not only by strength, but first by the example of unity.
