Very few people view the news media today as a means by which they may become better informed. Because so many various media outlets have become so clearly biased one way or another, most people just prefer now to seek out those media/news sources that support their already formed (or malformed) perspective, beliefs and presuppositions. This is key to why over the past decade or so, you can effectively rewrite history, as long as their is a willing party to the rewritten narrative. In short, if you say something, anything enough times, those that are willing will claim it as true. Facts don’t matter.
